Chapter 1

"I say, Fellowes", Lord Halebut caught up the head butler in the manors spacious library.

"Just topping off the Chevas, M'Lord", he said, putting the scotch bottle beneath the small bar. "May I pour you a bit?"

"Ahem...Yes, as long as you're there. Why not?" He said, patting down his mustache. "I trust we have not over worked you of late?"

"No sir." Fellowes was a bit taken aback. "As a matter of fact, I am very much pleased with my position in every respect."

"Thank you." He took the glass of aged scotch whiskey from his employee. "I really didn't intend to put you off like that. I was referring to my cheeky granddaughter. I assume her confinement continues?"

"She has not yet atoned for the Lebanese sailor, M'lord. You decreed fifteen days in the lower chambers. One day for each of the international maritime codes they violated."

"M-m-m" Lord Halibut sipped his drink. "It's been ten days I believe. Does she show any repentance?"

"As you have heard, M'lord, she repents most tearfully each and every hour."

"Yes...I detest insincerity. I fear we'll have to give her the full fifteen days."

"At times, M'lord, I despair of you granddaughter ever assuming her rightful demeanor."

"She is a stubborn bit of baggage isn't she? Still...she is my descendent so I suppose we must press on."

"Yes, sir." Fellowes filled another glass. "I hope you don't think me overstepping my bounds sir?"

"Heavens no, I should have insisted you join me. I know how discussions of Emily unnerves you."

I shall not rest comfortably until your granddaughter renounces her past transgressions."

"Perhaps a small diversion might be in order, Fellowes. You are far too intense. Get your mind off 'er for a while."

"Would I be amiss," Fellowes asked, pouring two more glasses of scotch.

"In assuming you already have a diversion in mind?"

Lord Halibut smiled. "Never could put one over on you, Fellowes. Seems a distant cousin from the colonies has a wife with a rather annoying habit he'd like broken."

"I pray it's not the same habit as your granddaughter?"

"No, no" The old noble took a large drink. "Though this one could be considered even worse."

Fellowes flopped down beside his employer, a blank stare on his face.

"I say." Lord Halibut feinted a snort. "That was most undignified. Are you alright?"

"Terribly sorry, M'lord. I don't know what came over me." Fellowes stood back up. "But what could be worse that Miss Emily's insatiable habits?"

"Ah...well the way he tells it, the poor blighter hasn't had a decent Chinese meal in the six years since he met his wife."

"I don't understand."

"Good lord, man!" Lord Halibut slammed his empty glass down on the table. "She's the same as Lady Worchester."

"Water chestnuts?!" Fellowes refilled their glasses.

"Been at it six years. Incurable?"

"I have my reputation to consider, sir. When does she arrive?"

"Stout fellow." Lord Halibut had a real admiration for his most devoted employee. "Stout fellow indeed."

The head butler met the Captain and Dani B at the limousine in front of the manor. The captain was smiling but Mrs. B seemed upset. She squirmed in her seat and had to be helped out of the car. A long black leather coat covered most of her body but her arms were not in the sleeves.

After Fellowes had introduced himself, he lead them into the towering English mansion. "I trust" he said to the captain, "She is in harness."

"She is." he said, swatting his wife's derriere. "And it was no small accomplishment."

"Before you return home," Fellowes said, "She'll put it on herself, while you watch." He returned Dani's glare with a genuine sympathetic smile.

"Come, come, M'lady." Fellowes lead them to the library. "You must think of this as a fantastic adventure, an unimaginable learning experience."

"What am I going to learn, bound up like a sack of potatoes? My wrists are raw. They ache."

"Your description was quite correct, Captain. She is gorgeous, but she does complain too much. And I hardly think a sack of potatoes does justice to M'lady's form."

Lord Halibut stood as he heard them enter the library. He extended his hand to the captain as they approached, but his eyes were on Mrs. B.

"So you're our American branch, eh?" He shook hands vigorously. "Seems the ladies there are as pretty as we've heard."

"Not all of them, sir. I've been quite lucky."

"Luck has nothing to do with it, m'boy. It's in the blood, y'know. Haven't had an ugly woman in the family in two hundred years."

Dani blushed as they talked, but the scowl remained. She seemed determined to thwart whatever her husband had in mind.

"The lady looks uncomfortable, Fellowes. Why don't you take her coat?"

"No!" Dani B. screamed as the butler moved to comply with Lord Halibut's suggestion. "Leave it on."

"H-m-m, she seems quite adamant."

The captain gave a knowing glance to his relative. "She's just upset because her clothes are all in the suitcase."

Fellowes moved to the bar and poured four drinks. "This might be a good time as any to begin her therapy."

"Well, what say, lad? She's your problem."

"Would you take her coat, Fellowes?"

"My pleasure, sir."

"Wait a minute." Dani was shouting. "This has gone far enough. I want my coat. And I want loose, now!"

"It would appear, m'lady, that the Captain has been somewhat remiss in explaining your situation. Am I correct?"

"Keep your stinking hands off me. Help! You bastards!"

As Fellowes unbuttoned the soft leather garment, Mrs. B's cleavage was exposed. Then her flat smooth stomach and the curly black bush that she tried to hide by bending forward and turning away from her tormentors.

The butler pulled the coat away and pulled Dani backward into a large leather armchair.

"Gorgeous, m'boy. You're right, you are a lucky man." Lord Halibut was not a bit self conscious about studying Dani's bound body. "That's an interesting harness. Did we supply that?"

"I made it myself, sir. A custom fit."

"It shows quality, sir," Fellowes said as he buckled straps around Dani's knees and ankles. "It shows fine craftsmanship."

"It shows everything, you pompous pricks! Let me loose!"

"This negative attitude is most distressing, m'lady. I'm afraid if your violent invectives continue, I shall be forced to gag you."

"No!" She looked to her husband with tearful, pleading eyes. "Honey, make him stop."

The captain turned to Lord Halibut. "Never could get past those eyes."

"That's why we have Fellowes."

Fellowes blushed a bit and stood up from his work. From the bar, he served drinks to the other men, taking one for himself.

"Honey." Her voice was soft and pathetic. "May I have a drink?"

"Fellowes?"

"I don't see why not, sir. Her training won't actually begin for another few hours."

"Hours?" The panic showed in her lovely eyes. "What does he mean?"

The Captain sat on the arm of her chair, holding her drink. The harness held her wrists tightly against her thighs. A strap also pinned her elbows, running under her large, perfectly shaped breasts.

Another leather strap ran from the large collar at her neck, down between her breast, between her legs and back up to the collar. "You are a lovely prisoner, my love." he said, moving the glass to her lips. "I'll miss you during your training."

Her eyes again showed her alarm.

"But I'll love you even more when I get you back."

He watched sadly as Fellowes attached a heavy leash to here collar, unfastened her naked legs and lead her from the library. Her pleadings fell heavily on his heart.

"That's often the hardest part m'boy." Lord Halibut said softly. "But you'll be immensely pleased with the results."

"Do you think I might watch a bit?" The captain asked. "I would like to learn a few of your man's methods."

"Capital idea." Lord Halibut was enthusiastic. "Might be bloody educational for the both of us."

The long walk from the library was humiliating for Mrs. B. The very proper butler led her like a pet through the large dining room where two maids were cleaning. Dani turned bright red as the servants giggled to themselves. A stern glance from Fellowes sent them quickly about their tasks.

"Why can't I wear my coat?"

I suspect there are many who have never read the F.E.Campbell Fellowes series which had this exact style of writing and slow paced tempo.

I wouldn't mind seeing where this goes before giving it any rating.

A good start now let's see what Dani's training will consist of.
